EPISODES OF AMERICAN ROUTES WITH JACK KEROUAC
FROM THE SHOW: DAVID AMRAM & MARCUS ROBERTS
For almost 40 years, Philadelphia-born David Amram has ignored musical genres, moving between classical, Latin jazz, film and folk music. The multi-Instrumentalist and free spirit recorded with Lionel Hampton and joined the Mingus Big Band and later was signed as composer-in-residence with the New York Philharmonic. Amram may be best known for his title track from the 1959 beat film narrated by Jack Kerouac, Pull My Daisy.
